xcellent yields from aldehydes 1, (trimethylsilyl)dialkylamines 2, and phen
yldimethylsilyllithium 4, diphenylmethylsilyllithium 5, or triphenylsilylli
thium 6, in concentrated ethereal lithium perchlorate solution.
