Abstract
A photonic integrated-optic RF modulator with harmonic up-conversion for di gital microwave link applications is presented. This device achieves both e lectrical local oscillator driving signal. Simulation results are provided for a seventh-harmonic 38.5 GHz transmission of a 155 Mbit / s 8- PSK signa l through a 1 km fiber span. (C) John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
