Abstract
The asymmetrical DC electrical conductivity (macroscopic and also nanoscopi c) through Langmuir-Blodgett multilayers, and even a monolayer, of gamma-(n -hexadecyl)quinolinum tricyanoquinodimethanide, C(16)H(33)QSCNQ (1) is due to rectification of electrical current by a molecule.
