Abstract
Two silane reagents were used to modify the surface of glass slide. The mod ified surfaces were characterized using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (X PS). DNA arrays generated by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) from the genom ic DNA of hepatitis B virus (HBV) were spotted on the slides by capillary t ube. Such slides were applied to detect the HBV DNA fragment by hybridizati on with fluorescence-labeled probe.
