Abstract
This paper presents the synthesis and analysis of multivariable robust control systems for a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter in forward flight b ased on the ADS-33C specification and the Structured Singular Value (m u) analysis, Several robust controllers with different configurations (e.g., a rate or attitude command, 3 or 4-axis design) were constructe d to determine which configuration provides the best overall handling qualities performance. It was determined that the Rate Command 3-axis, designed with an ideal model structure, yielded the best overall perf ormance.
