Abstract
An attempt is made to collect all more or less significant dates from the h istory of wells' drilling in Russia (till 1920) and USSR, because untill no w achievements of native scientists, engineers and technicians have not yet recieved well-deserved acknowledgement in the world. Presented are a numbe r of most important dates from from the native drilling history, the target is made to show readers, how and which facts should be collected.
