Abstract
In this paper we use the self-consistent scheme proposed by Singwi, Tosi, L and and Sjolander (STLS) to study a model two-component fermion-boson syste m (He-3-He-4 mixture) in two dimensions. We calculate the partial static st ructure factors and effective potentials, given a model bare interaction wi th hard-core plus an attractive tail. We study the dependence of these quan tities on the He-3 fraction in the mixture. Collective modes for the mixtur e are also discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
