Bounds on heavy-to-heavy mesonic form factors - art. no. 116002

We provide upper and lower bounds on the form factors for B-->D,D* by utili zing inclusive heavy quark effective theory sum rules. These bounds are cal culated to leading order in Lambda(QCD)/m(Q) and alpha(s). The O(alpha(s)(2 )beta(0)) corrections to the bounds at zero recoil are also presented. We c ompare our bounds with some of the form factor models used in the literatur e. All the models we investigate fail to fall within the bounds for the com bination of form factors (omega(2)-1)/(4 omega)\omega h(A2) + h(A3)\(2). [S 0556-2821(99)05221-2].
