Ep. Wiechmann et al., HIGH-PERFORMANCE DIRECT-FREQUENCY CONVERTERS CONTROLLED BY PREDICTIVE-CURRENT LOOP, IEEE transactions on power electronics, 12(3), 1997, pp. 547-557
Two predictive space-vector control strategies for direct-frequency co
nverter (DFC) structures are presented, Both algorithms require output
-current feedback in order to decide the next best state of the conver
ter, The performance of the control techniques is compared with a high
-performance fictitious-link DFC, Computer simulation using Microsim P
Spice 5.3 is used to examine the operation of the DFC converter algori
thms. The evaluation is done for a wide-operational output frequency a
nd includes input/output-voltage ratio, commutation frequency, input-c
urrent balance, input-current total harmonic distortion (THD), and inp
ut power factor, From these results, the high performance exhibited by
the proposed algorithms is verified.
