A diagnostics of the causes of a corrosion attack on heat-exchange equipmen
t (the structural material-CRO) in the medium of an water-alcohol absorbent
for divinyl at the Voronezhsintezkauchuk plant was performed in terms of a
systematic approach with the use of a complex of physical-chemical methods
. A reasonable approach to its protection, implying the alkalization of the
absorbent to pH 10-11 and the replacement of pipeline sections most attack
ed by erosion-corrosion with those made of fluoroplastic or glass ceramic i
s recommended.
