Abstract
The method for the preparation of alpha-substituted acrylonitrile derivativ es by the quaternization of the nitrogen atom of both Me2N groups in the co rresponding substituted 3-(dimethylamino)propanal dimethylhydrazones follow ed by the Hoffman decomposition of the resulting diiodides was developed.
