Abstract
Eight new dammarane triterpenes were isolated from Maytenus Macrocarpa . Their structures were determined by means of H-1 and C-13 NMR spectr oscopic studies, including H-1-C-13 heteronuclear correlation (HETCOR) , long range correlation with inverse detection (HMBC), and chemical e vidence. This is the first time that dammarane triterpenes have been i solated from Celastraceae. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
