Abstract
The mechanical properties of films made from the suspensions of blended nat ural polysaccharides; cellulose and chitosan, are studied. The blends were prepared by either mechanical or shear mixing using apparatus of different types. The films made from the shear mixed blends exhibit higher stress-str ain, characteristics and sorption properties.
