Abstract
The disease that has been termed High Plains disease (HPD) is new known to be consistently associated with a virus that is characterized by a 32 kDa p rotein situating in groups along a double stranded RNA, an eriophyid mice, Aceria tosichella, vector, being seedborne in maize and double membrane bou nd panicles (DMP), 150-200 nm in diameter.
