H. Shibaike et al., Genetic variation and relationships of herbicide-resistant and -susceptible biotypes of Lindernia micrantha, 1999 BRIGHTON CONFERENCE: WEEDS, VOLS 1-3, 1999, pp. 197-202
The process of resistance evolution to ALS-inhibitors in Lindernia micranth
a populations was investigated using molecular markers. The results indicat
ed that populations of resistant biotypes contained less variation than tho
se of susceptible biotypes, and that in some cases the populations of resis
tant biotypes were nested in the populations of susceptible biotypes. We co
ncluded that multiple founding events of resistant biotypes occurred in L.
micrantha populations in Japan.
