Abstract
The adsorption behavior of iridium on an cw-amino pyridine (AP) resin at ve ry low Ir concentrations (0.24 ng ml(-1)) was studied by using the Ir-192 r adiotracer technique. A preconcentration procedure was established, and the overall yield was 91.0 +/- 1.8% for Ir. Inductively coupled plasma mass sp ectrometry (ICP-MS) has been applied to the measurement of Ir in reference materials, and a good agreement between the reference values and our result s was obtained. This method is also suitable for the analyses of trace Au a nd Pd in environmental and geological samples. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B. V. All rights reserved.
