Strong thermal X-ray emission is observed along Galactic ridge (Galactic Ri
dge X-ray Emission, GRXE, Koyama et al. 1989). Origin of hot component is n
ot known, while cool one is made of supernovae(Kaneda et al. 1997). We prop
ose a possible mechanism to explain the origin(Tanuma et al. 1999). We solv
ed two-dimensional resistive magnetohydrodynamics equations numerically to
examine the magnetic reconnection triggered by a supernova. The magnetic re
connection heats X-ray plasma in Galactic plane if it occurs in locally str
ong magnetic fields of 30 mu G Heated plasma is confined by magnetic fields
