Abstract
In the presence of anhydrous potassium phosphate, different kinds of dithio
carbamates were prepared from the reaction of primary amines, secondary ami
nes and piperazine with carbon disulfate and a variety of alkyl halides at
room temperature in high yields. It is not affected for the presence of -CO
NR2, -OH, -CO2H,-NO2, -CO2R, -CH(OR)(2), -C = C-, -CH2OR, furan ring and sa
ccharide ring in amine or alkyl halide.
