Abstract
Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis is considered a monophasic, inflammato ry demyelinating disorder of the central nervous system. A temporal relatio nship usually exists between the onset of neurologic symptoms and an infect ion or a vaccination. A viral exanthem facilitates the diagnosis, Some hete rogeneity exists with regard to etiology and clinical course of this diseas e, Immunosuppression is considered the treatment of choice.
