Abstract
Organic thin films composed of cationic and anionic polymers were prepared on the surface of glucose biosensor by an alternate deposition technique, t o improve the response characteristics of the biosensor. The polymer thin f ilm significantly suppressed the permeation of both glucose and ascorbic ac id, which resulted in a suppression of ascorbate interference or an improve ment of the dynamic range, depending on the arrangement of the enzyme and p olymer layers on the electrode surface.
