Abstract
Reductive desorption of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on Au(111) electro des prepared in butyl hexadecyl disulfide solutions was studied by cyclic v oltammetry. It was shown that behavior of the reductive desorption strongly depended on the concentrations of the disulfide solution. It was concluded from this observation that homogeneously mixed binary SAMs were formed at the high concentration of the asymmetrical disulfide, while the phase-separ ated mixed SAMs were formed at the low concentration.
