Abstract
This qualitative study was an investigation of a supportive classroom envir onment for developing student creativity. Observations and interview data c ollected focused on assessment, classroom activities, and the teacher's eff ort in creating this supportive environment. Teacher-student relationships, deemphasizing standardized assessment, and encouraging multiple perspectiv es was significant to this creative milieu.
