Abstract
The reactions of diexo-norbornane- and -norborneneazetidinones (1 and 2) wi
th o-carboxybenzaldehyde (3) result in two diastereomeric isobenzofuranone-
N-substituted 3-azatricyclo[4.2.1.0(2,5)]nonan-3-ones (4a,b) and the -non-7
-en-3-one (5). The structures of the new compounds were established by mean
