Abstract
Diplomenora cocconeiforma (Schmidt) Blaze is cited for the first time for chilean marine waters. Morphological differences were found with c ells from other localities: valve outline, number of rimoportulae and ornamentation of the cingulum. The affinities of this species with som e morphologically similar taxa are discussed.
