K. Kral et Z. Khas, Homogeneous line width of optical transitions and electronic energy relaxation in quantum dots, PHYSICA B, 272(1-4), 1999, pp. 15-17
The spectral density of the optical lines in quantum dots is shown to depen
d on the energy variable as 1/root E. It is shown, that the experimental da
ta on the measurement of the line shape and line width should be expected t
o be limited considerably by the spectral resolution of the experiment. The
electronic energy relaxation time, dependent on the overlap of two electro
nic spectral densities, is about 100 fs to 1 ps. The theory is based on ele
ctronic multiple scattering and multiphonon states in the electron-LO-phono
n system of quantum dot. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved
