Abstract
We report on magnetotransport properties in an InAs/AlGaSb quantum wire wit h a weak periodic potential. The periodic structure with the period of 200- nm is fabricated by atomic force microscope oxidation and is characterized by magnetotransport measurements at 4.2 K. Aperiodic oscillations are obser ved at low magnetic fields and the considerably large amplitude of aperiodi c oscillations has been observed even at 4.2 K. These aperiodic oscillation s may be due to the interference of ballistic electrons traveling in the co rrugated InAs quantum wire. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reser ved.
