We show that photons in laterally confined Bragg mirrors may experience Blo
ch oscillations similar to those of electrons in semiconductor superlattice
s. In particular, Bloch oscillations of light within a photonic miniband of
a porous silicon Bragg mirror is modelled by a proper scattering-state sim
