M. Przyborowski et al., np final-state interaction in the reaction H-2((p)over-right-arrow,pp)n atE(p)over-right-arrow=19 MeV - art. no. 064004, PHYS REV C, 6006(6), 1999, pp. 4004
We investigated the H-2((p) over right arrow, pp)n breakup reaction by meas
uring an angular distribution of the cross section and analyzing power in t
he np final-state interaction (FSI) at E-(p) over right arrow = 19 MeV as a
function of the np production angle. Kinematically complete measurements a
t 12 angular settings of detectors have been done. The observables around t
he exact FSI point were compared with predictions of four modern NN potenti
als, calculated for H-2(n, np)n, i.e., without inclusion of the Coulomb int
eraction. The resulting good overall agreement between the data and theory
indicates the smallness of three-nucleon force (3NF) effects as well as the
insignificance of the Coulomb force for this particular configuration and
energy. This conclusion is supported by results of three-nucleon (3N) Fadde
ev calculations performed with 2 pi-exchange Tucson-Melbourne 3NF with cuto
ff parameter adjusted individually for each NN interaction to fit the exper
imental triton binding. [S0556-2813(99)05612-5].
