The effect of the calcination and reduction conditions on the degree of red
uction of nickel-alumina catalyst precursor for fat hydrogenation was teste
d. Occurrence of calcination and reduction process for selected values of h
ydrogen flow rate is presented as the dependence of water vapor concentrati
on and degree of nickel oxide reduction upon temperature and time. It has b
een shown that the conditions of both the calcination and reduction process
es had substantial impact to the precursor reduction.
