The structures of coordination polyhedron MO4 and chelate core, the trends
in changing the M-O bond length, the relationships between structural param
eters, and electron-impact fragmentation routes are examined for the gas-ph
ase sp- and d-element bis(dipivaloylmethanato) complexes M(C11O2H19)(2), wh
ose metal atoms have the coordination number 4. The correlation between the
se parameters and the electronic structure of the central atom is establish
ed.
