Abstract
Fluorous chiral BINOL ((R)-FBINOL) was prepared by short reaction steps in good overall yield and was applied to the catalytic asymmetric alkylation i n a toluene and FC-72 biphase system. The (R)-FBINOL-Ti complex in the FC-7 2 phase was consecutively reused in the biphase system and the enantioselec tivity was still higher than 80% ee at the 5th reaction.
