Abstract
Maternal thrombocytopenia is a frequent. finding in pregnancy. The clinical ly important causes of maternal thrombocytopenia in pregnancy are gestation al thrombocytopenia and autoimmune thrombocytopenia. We report a case of re fractory idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura by a 30-year-old pregnant woma n, gravida 3, para 2, successfully treated with high dose corticosteroids a nd immune globulins.
