Abstract
Both aerial transect sample counts and total counts of elephant and buffalo were conducted in the study area during the wet season. The results from t he two counting methods were tested for significant difference. The test sh owed that the results were not significantly different for both the elephan t (P > 0.05) and buffalo (P > 0.05).
