Abstract
The microstructure and texture of a forged gamma/alpha(2) Ti-Al alloy has been investigated. It is shown that it is possible using advanced techniques of X-ray pole figure measurement and pole figure inversion to analyse the texture of both the gamma and alpha(2) phases. Analyses performed using the component and the positivity methods on the same set of X-ray pole figures are compared.
