Electromagnetic emissions have been detected during quarry blasting, by usi
ng an ESMI electromagnetic interference receiver and a high quality tape re
corder with multifrequency antennas placed at the horizontal distance of 20
m, 80m, and 100m from the shot point respectively. Both the EM signals and
seismological wave were observed simultaneously by the tape recorder system
during the blasts, and a large number of EM emissions were also recorded a
fter the blasts. It has been discussed that the properties of the results w
ith their significance in seismology.
