Abstract
Nearly vertical seismic reflection method is the main one to research for M oho. In the field observation the explosive well depth and the seismic sour ce energy are the major factors. In the data processing velocity analysis a nd the processing of common reflection points distribution are the major te chniques. By the analysis of Moho seismic waves phases we can acquire not o nly the interior structure of its stratification and resemble stratificatio n but also the exterior characteristics of its fluctuations, faults and so on. Applying Fourier spectrum, time-frequency analysis, instantaneous infor mation we can exactly research for Moho interior characteristics. The five factors, which put different emphases and have a fundamental effect on Moho characteristics and formation on the whole, are differentiation reaction, mantle convection, phase variation, earth rotation, plate movement. Mantle convection and phase variation are the major factors of Moho formation.
