Abstract
DC-DC boost converters operating at very high switching frequencies (up to 20MHz) have been fabricated using GaAs HBT technology. The pulsewidth modul ator, driver amplifier and pou er switch have been implemented on a single GaAs chip. With an input voltage of 3.6V DC, an operating frequency of 10MH z and an output power of > 1.5W, a power efficiency over 80% has been obtai ned.
