Abstract
Two cases with an incidental finding of a widened intervertebral foramen du e to extensive tortuosity of the vertebral artery are presented. Computed t omography angiography and magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance ang iography (MRA) both proved to be useful as non-invasive techniques to provi de the diagnosis. In-plane saturation is a disadvantage seen with the two-d imensional time-of-flight MRA technique. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
