Yd. Berezin et al., Experimental study of endoscleral and transscleral actions of IR radiationof diode, neodymium, and holmium lasers on the retina of the eye, J OPT TECH, 66(12), 1999, pp. 1040-1044
This paper presents the results of experimental studies on the basis of the
use of laser radiation with wavelengths of 0.83, 1.06, 1.32 and 2.09 mu m
to carry out ophthalmological operations on the eye. It presents the result
s of a comparative study in in vivo and in vitro experiments of the thresho
ld laser-radiation energies that produce minimal changes of the retina at t
he discrimination threshold, determined while the laser is being applied. T
he action of continuous, pulsed, and pulsed-periodic laser radiations with
pulse-repetition rates from 5 to 30 Hz on the retinas of rabbit and pig eye
s is studied for both endoscleral and transscleral actions. (C) 1999 The Op
