Light-cone form of field dynamics in anti-de Sitter space-time and AdS/CFTcorrespondence

The light-cone form of field dynamics in anti-de Sitter space-time is devel oped, Using field theoretic and group theoretic approaches the light-cone r epresentation for generators of the anti-de Sitter algebra acting as differ ential operators on bulk fields is found, We also present a light-cone refo rmulation of the boundary conformal field theory representations. Making us e of these explicit representations of the AdS algebra as an isometry algeb ra in the bulk and the algebra of conformal transformations at the boundary a precise correspondence between the bulk fields and the boundary operator s is established, (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
