Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new hypothesis testing method for detectio n of cisoids (complex sinusoids) from a single measurement of data, Th e testing is performed on the least square error, The least square err or is shown to exhibit chi(2) distribution, which leads to an efficien t threshold setup for the proposed method, The new method is a combine d detection-estimation technique and provides improved performance ove r several existing techniques.
