Abstract
An outbreak of cowpox infection in a group of young bulls is described. All the animals were found to be affected but with no systemic illness, and re covery was observed in 2-3 weeks. The agent was identified by virological a nd serological test histology and electron microscopy, which revealed a cha racteristic orthopoxvirus. The epizootiology of the infection is discussed.
