Abstract
Solubility in the Ba(HCOO)(2)-Ni(HCOO)(2)-H2O system at 25 degrees C was st udied in a wide range of component concentrations. The composition of solid phases was determined by chemical and X-ray analyses and by IR spectroscop y. The unit cell parameters of Ba(HCOO)(2) and Ba2Ni(HCOO)(6). 4H(2)O were refined. The behavior of Ba2Ni(HCOO)(6). 4H(2)O on heating to 900 degrees C was studied. Stages of decomposition were determined and the compositions of the resulting products were identified.
