Abstract
The kinetics of sedimentation of a kaolin suspension by copolymers of sodiu m 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate and N-vinylpyrrolidone was studied. The flocculating effect was determined as influenced by the concentration, molecular weight, and chemical composition of the copolymer and concentrat ions of electrolytes (NaCl, CaCl2).
