Conductometry in anhydrous hexane at 25 degrees C was used to measure the s
tability constants of alkali cation complexes of a series of N,N-diethylcar
bamoylmethylphosphine oxides and methylenediphosphine dioxides. The ''anoma
lous aryl enhancement'' effect is the strongest in the complexes with tetra
phenyldiphosphine dioxide.
