Abstract
A diffusive sampler with a 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPH)-impregnate d filter as collection media has been developed for the monitoring of low c oncentrations of aldehydes. The collecting medium depth has been optimised in order to obtain quantitative samples. The samplers have been calibrated by exposing them in an exposure chamber, and relations between uptake and e xposure dose have been established. The badge utilisation has been validate d by sampling in a real atmosphere with a comparison with pumped samples. ( C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
