Abstract
New lignicolous species Helminthosphaeria carpathica, H. mammillata and H. pilifera, are described and illustrated. Diplococcium anamorphs are describ ed and illustrated for the two latter species. No anamorph was observed for H. carpathica. These species were collected on decayed wood of deciduous t rees in the Czech Republic and Ukraine. A key to species of Helminthosphaer ia is provided. Relationships of Helminthosphaeria with other genera of the Helminthosphaeriaceae are discussed.
