Because bronchogenic cysts may be found in or near any organ derived from t
he embryonic foregut, they sometimes pose considerable diagnostic difficult
ies. We describe the plain chest X-ray, computed tomographic, and angiograp
hic findings in a patient with elevated CA 19-9 and upper quadrant abdomina
l pain due to a cystic tumor appearing as a hepatic mass. Surgery and histo
