Abstract
Bond deterioration due to deicer salt and freezing-thawing cycles is a majo r cause of repair failures to highway pavements and bridge decks. This rese arch used a pulloff test to examine how combined deicer salt application an d freezing-thawing cycles affected the bond between portland cement concret e and two rapid-setting repair materials. Variables included curing conditi ons, age, and combined freezing-thawing cycles with deicer application. Sur face deterioration of each repair material was monitored.
