Abstract
Although elevated body mass index (BMI) was found to be associated with QT prolongation in healthy subjects, electrocardiographic findings in coronary patients in relation to BMI have not been investigated. We studied 936 cor onary patients whose electrocardiographic parameters were compared accordin g to their BMI and found that BMI did not affect the overall QT duration, b ut QT dispersion was significantly higher in normal-weight coronary patient s than in obese patients.
